Do you feel like you're trying to fit into a box?

I don’t believe we need to be defined by a title or fit into a box.  We are multi layered and don’t let anyone tell you otherwise.

I can be a mother and be a wild women, I can have huge compassion for others yet take not shit.  I can even been into spirituality and wellness but still let my hair down and like to party.  Who said we had to play small and be one thing?

As women we are here to take up space, to be all that we came here to be. We get to experience it all, to move through the phases of our lives, to get to know the various versions of ourselves and honour them all. But to also recognise our life is a journey and we forever change and evolve.

Im my adult life Ive had my share of deaths and rebirths, trying out numerous versions of myself.  And now I look back so thankfully to those versions and where they brought me.  Sometimes the ‘wrong turns’ can be a huge opportunity for growth.  It doesn’t mean we would do it that way again but we did our best with what we knew at the time.   We don’t have to be defined by our past but a part of it does create our future.

Discomfort makes for growth and it isn’t a walk in the park but it is a part of our unique stories.

So today’s challenge is radical self acceptance…..be honest, dig deep:

  • Where do you feel your playing small or trying to fit in?

  • What version of yourself do you feel defines you? And which version do you try and hide?

  • What are the different versions of yourself and what do you love about each of them?

  • What ‘wrong turn’ do you most regret? And what would you do differently?

  • Can you have compassion for that past version of yourself?

  • Who would you be if you felt nothing was holding you back?

If your feelings brave, reach out and tell me how the challenge felt for you.
